Fall Backlot Scout and Office Intern

Backlot was founded in 2019 by veterans of the film and television industry. Our team understands how to manage shoots and production space to best suit both the property and the production itself.  

 
We are also networked with a database of long-standing relationships and a contact base of over thousands of location managers, producers and directors from the film, television and photo industry as well as the Mayor’s office of Film and the Governor’s office of film. As a result of our experience in the real estate market, we understand the needs of our clients and the importance of handling production. 

We are looking for interns interested in learning more about this booming segment of the industry.  In this position, the intern would learn all about working  with the locations department of production. This is a non-paid position with the ability to be suited for paid opportunities. 

Qualifications:  

• Interest in film / television production
• Interest in business and/or real estate
• Interest in film locations
• Good to have: previous work in an office setting
• Comfortability with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Dropbox
• Adobe Suite experience is a pro

Job Description: 

• Shadow initial scouts with knowledge of property
• Assist the Head of Real Estate with property on-boarding and research
• Provide support with dropbox and office tasks as needed
• Opportunity to Site Rep locations for TV and Film
• Handle various errands throughout the city and shuttle materials between the company and its associates
• Answer phones and assist in facilitating the daily operations of the office, along with other responsibilities as needed
