We’re looking for a motivated, self-starting summer intern to join our team for a short-term project in the healthcare and life sciences space. No prior industry experience required – just curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

Duration:

6 weeks (June - August, start date flexible)

About the Role:

You will take ownership of a project focused on researching and evaluating patient portals and content platforms (think BabyCenter.com and others). Your mission will be to:

· Research features, user experiences, and content offerings across a range of patient portals and health content sites.

· Explore the competitive landscape, especially around transplant patient resources.

· Identify opportunities to drive user engagement and traffic.

· Think big: How could we build something better? How do we bring patients to the platform and keep them coming back? How could we connect the patient platform to nurse education initiatives? Connect insights into actionable recommendations for building a patient-focused portal or content platform.

What Success Will Look Like:

· A comprehensive report summarizing key features, content strategies, and user experiences across top patient portals and health platforms.

· A competitive analysis identifying key players in the transplant patient space, with insights into their strengths and gaps.

· Strategic recommendations for features, content ideas, and engagement strategies for a new or improved patient portal.

· Clear, organized presentation of research findings that can be shared with leadership or project teams.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate insights clearly.

Ideal Candidate:

· A graduating high school senior or college student interested in marketing or digital experiences in the healthcare or diagnostic testing space.

· A proactive, independent worker who can take a brief and run with it.

· Demonstrated skills in writing and research from course work, volunteer work and academic results.

· Comfortable networking, asking questions, and connecting the dots quickly.

· Strong listener with a keen eye for user experience and digital trends.

· Organized and able to present findings clearly and creatively.

· Think big: How could we build something better? How do we bring patients to the platform and keep them coming back?
