Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Data Entry Specialist Intern to join our dynamic team! This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in entering, updating and maintaining technical data in computer systems and databases. You’ll work closely with our technical teams to support and improve existing systems and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inputting technical data from various sources, including paper documents, electronic files, or databases, into designated computer systems or software. 
  • Checking the entered data for errors and inconsistencies, comparing it against existing data, and correcting any discrepancies. 
  • Updating, modifying, or deleting data as needed to keep databases and records accurate and current. 
  • Analyze current technical systems and processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop effective solutions.
  • Organizing and managing data files and records, ensuring proper backups and data security. 
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration of technologies and processes.

Qualifications:

  • College sophomore or higher.
  • Technical Acumen: A good understanding of technical terms and concepts related to the data being entered. 
  • Familiarity with relevant data entry software, databases, and other technical tools. (FIXX CMMS, SAP, SQL, MySQL, Oracle)
  • Familiarity with networking technologies and tools, including Ethernet, Serial connectivity, FTP, SCP, and Serial connection-based tools.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to identify and correct errors in data. 
  • Data Integrity and Security Awareness: Understanding the importance of data accuracy and security. 
  • Problem solving skills, can think outside of the box and mechanically inclined.
