Compensation: $18 - $20/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking an Operations Intern available at least 20 hours per week. As a Care Operations Intern, you will perform various administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the front desk. The ideal candidate will exhibit a patient-focused mentality and strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Documentation Coordination
- Uploading charting notes into partner electronic medical record systems
- Upload Daylight out-of-pocket quotes into partner electronic medical record systems
Referral Coordination
- Pull referrals from partner portals for applicable partners
- Complete referral forms
- Perform insurance eligibility and benefits checks via systems and calls to inform patients of accurate out-of-pocket costs.
- Maintain incoming faxed referral inbox and correct errors
- Complete patient profile in Daylight electronic medical record after intake scheduled
Care Coordination
- Research resources to build the Daylight Care Coordination library for when patients require additional support from our coaches and therapists.
- Book appointments for providers referred outside of Daylight with patients when coaches require additional support in assisting patients.
- Confirm that patients attend their scheduled appointments or help connect them to alternative resources if needed.
- Facilitate Care Coordination sessions for patients requiring extra support to navigate their care journey effectively.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education or training in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a customer service or customer success role.
- Proficiency in MS/Google Suite and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Strong customer service skills with a compassionate and energetic disposition.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and collaborate across functions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and a self-motivated attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
