Position Overview:
Sacred Heart of Jesus School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Elementary Education Teacher who is a practicing Catholic in good standing. The ideal candidate will possess a deep love for the Catholic faith and a strong desire to lead children into a personal encounter with Jesus Christ through daily instruction, prayer, and example.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering high-quality instruction in all core subject areas aligned with diocesan and state standards

     
  • Integrating the Catholic faith into the curriculum and daily classroom life

     
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment

     
  • Collaborating with fellow faculty and administration to support student success

     
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with parents/guardians

     
  • Participating in school events, Masses, and other liturgical celebrations

     

Qualifications:

  • A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
  • A deep love for the Catholic faith and a desire to share that love with students
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education 
  • A valid Ohio Elementary Teaching License
  • 3-5 years of full time classroom teaching experience (preferred)
  • Completion of, or willingness to complete, VIRTUS® Protecting God’s Children training
  • Ability to pass FBI and BCI background checks
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills
  • Clear understanding of the best practices in elementary education
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education
