Social Media & Content Intern

Location: Remote (candidates can be anywhere worldwide) | Commitment: 10–20 hours/week (TBD) | Compensation: Unpaid (with potential for paid part-time role post-summer)

WhereNext Travel is a luxury Destination Management Company (DMC) specializing in high-touch, bespoke travel experiences in Latin America. We’re seeking a sharp, creative, and highly organized Social Media & Content Intern to support our marketing and sales efforts this summer.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Our Blog: Brainstorm and write engaging stories, destination features, and behind-the-scenes content. MUST HAVE STORYTELLING EXPERIENCE
  • Support Social Media: Manage all social networks. Assist with content creation, scheduling, and community engagement on Instagram, FB and LinkedIn. MUST HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERIENCE
  • Source & Organize Visuals: Curate photo and video assets for use across marketing channels and presentations.
  • Update Marketing Materials: Help edit and refresh pitch decks, one-pagers, and promotional documents.
  • Support Systems & Organization: Assist with CRM updates, content libraries, and marketing processes.
  • Share Your Ideas: From content concepts to campaign strategies, your voice and creativity will be valued.

 

Who You Are:

  • A current college sophomore, junior, senior, or grad student studying marketing, communications, PR, journalism, or a related field.
  • A strong writer and communicator with attention to detail and storytelling.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred. Many employees are in Colombia and speak English but Spanish is a major +
  • A social media lover with strong working knowledge of Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, and trends in content marketing.
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Organized, curious, and creative—with a good eye for visuals.
  • Experience with SEO, analytics tools, Canva, or Google Trends is a plus.
