Process Engineer
Position Description:
The Process Engineer (PE) will evaluate and analyze customer workflows and processes to identify new, optimized, or re-engineered processes for improvement opportunities and
facilitate the implementation of solutions for internal and external customers. The PE will serve as the lead project manager on assigned projects.
PE responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing processes for improvement.
- Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas for
- improvement.
- Providing and facilitating structured and sustainable solutions to complex learning and operational needs, emphasizing streamlining processes.
- Working with internal and external customers to identify process improvement opportunities in quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Essential Duties:
- Leverage process engineering tools and software applied with problem-solving methodologies to deliver process engineering and improvements.
- Analyze processes, data, and systems to identify improvement opportunities and make improvement recommendations.
- Create compelling visual materials/presentations that support the process improvement impact to the customer.
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify critical quality metrics and support the operationalization of monitoring and management to deliver improved processes.
- Develop and maintain a detailed and comprehensive project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the seamless execution of projects.
Other Requirements: Project management is central to the role of the PE. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time and within scope. Oversee the life cycle of the project from inception to completion. Set deadlines, assign and coordinate responsibilities across AllianceChicago teams and with external collaborators, monitor and summarize the progress of the project, and ensure correct resources are mobilized and efforts coordinated to successfully complete stated project goals and deliverables. Prepare reports for different audiences regarding the status of the project.
