Registered Behavior Technician

Full Time/Academic Calendar 185 days + option for additional work in Extended School Year
Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate Range: $25.00 to $30.00
BEAM Elementary School, Danbury, CT
Major Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Provide patient and supportive instructional assistance to students with diverse academic and behavioral needs
- Experience with implementation of a Behavior Intervention Plan
- Identify areas and possible solutions to maximize the fidelity of data collection and of implementation of interventions
- Collection of, and on-going maintenance of, behavioral and instructional data
- Proactive communication and collaboration with the school team
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have taken and passed the ParaPro test or have 2 years post-secondary education (minimum 60 credits) or Associates Degree or higher
- Must hold a current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or be willing to immediately participate in coursework and training to become an RBT
- Excellent professionalism and communication skills
- Consistent attendance is an essential function of this position
- Ability to withstand the physical demands of frequent standing, bending, kneeling and therapeutic holding as required
