Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Visual Merchandiser to assist in affectively growing our Business to Business & Corporate Gifting brands. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute directly by way of assisting with the creation of merchandising assets such as marketing email visuals, site imagery, product imagery, homepage layouts and zones.

PlanetArt internships are full-time positions, and interns should expect to work Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 9am–5pm. Specific team norms around working hours will be communicated by your manager. Interns should not have scheduling conflicts such as classes or other employment during the PlanetArt workday.

Key job responsibilities

  • Merchandising product for marketing emails, and other marketing materials to enhance customer engagement.
  • Create high-quality product imagery that aligns with merchandising strategies and enhances customer interest.
  • Merchandise visually compelling homepage zones, and category imagery showcasing our product offerings.
  • Create clear and effective product imagery for site navigation.
  • Merchandise site category banners that effectively showcase our product offerings for each specific category.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, design technologies, and best merchandising practices to consistently elevate design and merchandising quality.

Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. Expected graduation May – December 2025 applicants only.
  • Intermediate experience/ skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with enthusiasm for collaborating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong portfolio or samples of work demonstrating graphic design & composition knowledge.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent eye for visual organization & curation.
  • Strong organization skills.

Benefits

 

Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $19.00 an hour.

 

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in an office environment with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Position requires regular, continuous use of computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with team members through the following methods: in-person, phone, WebEx, Slack, or email.
  • This is a hybrid position; employees are expected to be in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday) with the option of working remotely two days (Wednesday and Friday).
