Homes for Good is looking for two Bilingual (Eng/Span) Interns for the Summer!

WHAT YOU WILL DO FOR OUR TEAM

We are seeking a Bilingual Intern to join our Communications, Energy Services, or other department. In this role, you will support your assigned Department in a variety of tasks, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and language access.

 

DUTIES:

In this role, you will support the processes of a department who is working to positively impact the housing issues that are affecting our community. You will collaborate with agency staff and community partners to achieve equity and community engagement project goals through the utilization of your language skills.

 

COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

If you are interested in applying for the Communications Intern position, an example of responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • The creation of digital graphics and sending out e-communications. 
  • Designing collateral (print materials) such as reports, brochures, flyers and fact sheets.
  • Updating content of the Homes for Good website, drafts and curates content for social media outlets.
  • Planning, coordinating and logistics for in-person marketing events.

 

ENERGY SERVICES INTERN

If you are interested in applying for the Energy Services Intern position, an example of responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Contact individuals on the Energy Services waitlist to verify information, update participant data, and maintain accurate, confidential records in a well-organized Excel spreadsheet.
  • Support grant application efforts for fleet electrification through research, content drafting, editing, and organizing required materials.
  • Collaborate with team members to track deadlines, complete submissions on time, and engage effectively with a diverse participant base.

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING GUIDELINES:

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS 

The candidate will likely have knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish at a professional level
  • Interest in public service, affordable housing, or community engagement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a collaborative, diverse environment
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

 

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:

This position has no license or certification requirements upon hire.

COMPENSATION: The pay for this position is $14.70 per hour.
