🚀 Summer Business Development Intern (Full-Time, 40 hrs/week)

Smote is an AI-powered study app that turns college lectures into notes, summaries, quizzes, and flashcards—plus an AI tutor to help you master the material. We're a pre-funding startup in NYC, founded by a serial entrepreneur, and we're building the future of how students learn.

We’re looking for a Business Development Intern to help us grow from zero to one—through partnerships, grassroots marketing, and creative outreach.

What You’ll Do:

Research and reach out to campus groups (fraternities, clubs, influencers)

Help plan and execute grassroots and TikTok-led marketing experiments

Track early user feedback and growth metrics

Assist with launches, content, and social media strategy

Work directly with the founder and operations team

You Should Be:

Entrepreneurial and proactive — the kind of person who figures it out

Curious about AI and education

Great at writing, communicating, and organizing

Comfortable in ambiguity and excited about being part of an early startup

Ideally based in NYC (but remote is possible)

Details:

Timeline: Summer 2025, 10–12 weeks

Hours: Full-time, ~40 hours/week

Stipend: $800/month
