Finance Intern

Finance Intern (Summer 2025)

Overview

At scPharmaceuticals, we are focused on exploring, developing, and commercializing innovations that will expand and advance the outpatient care of acute conditions. Our goal is to provide targeted solutions for patient populations and disease states where outpatient management will have the greatest impact. The Accounting/Finance Internship is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to intern’s field of study or career interest, providing an opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. 

 

This role reports to the Senior Accounting Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the business in the execution of their daily tasks, including accounts payable and vendor management
  • Respond to day-to-day requests, provide information and advice, and ensure that issues are adequately addressed
  • Deliver work product through established processes, systems, and procedures, ensuring work standards and requirements are met
  • Develop own professional expertise through on the job training and observation
  • Assist in regular financial closing processes
  • Assist managers with departmental goals
  • Assist in 1099 and use tax documentation
  • Participate in special projects as requested, examples include SOX readiness
  • End of internship presentation

 

Required Expertise Competencies: 

 

  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
  • All applicants must be a rising Junior or Senior
  • Strong Office 365 skills are a must
