Bilingual Legal Assistant

Wilson Law Group, an immigration law firm,  is seeking multiple individuals to fill its full-time Bilingual Legal Assistant positions. Fluency in Spanish or French language required. A bachelor's degree is the minimum education level needed for this position. Wilson Law Group is primarily an immigration and civil law firm that assists clients from around the world. Wilson Law Group is seeking the right individual to assist the firm’s attorneys with preparing Homeland Security, Department of State, and Department of Labor filings while supporting its thriving immigration law practice group.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with many different cultures and will possess the aptitude for bridging communication issues. The ideal candidate must be an effective listener, writer, and manager of multiple tasks. No prior experience in a legal field is required, although it is strongly preferred. The job description is as follows:

The Legal Assistant will assist the firm’s attorneys with preparing Homeland Security, Department of State, and Department of Labor filings while simultaneously supporting other areas of litigation in the firm. Interview clients one-on-one to develop testimony to submit as sworn affidavits in support of affirmative or defensive filings. Draft government forms and update case notes in case management system and prepare items such as court exhibits, legal pleadings, motions, briefs, and formal correspondence for attorney review. Conduct in-depth investigations of medical, psychological, and financial records, and generate appropriate reports for attorneys. Communicate with clients about all phases of a case, both in writing and verbally. This may include scheduling and meeting with clients to sign and review forms, reviewing updates on the case, discussing and motivating clients to obtain additional evidence and documentation, and collecting all necessary supporting documentation in support of the pending legal matter.
