High School Science Teacher

Start Date: September 1, 2025 

Position: Full-time (10 months)

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 commensurate with background and experience

Responsibilities: 

● Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of physical science, 

    specifically in the branches of Chemistry & Physics.

● Plan, structure, and implement interactive and lab-based science lessons that develop

    students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

● Effectively use instructional resources, including technology, to teach content.

● Collaborate with department members on curriculum and instruction. 

● Keep students and parents well-informed of student progress by providing timely feedback. 

● Perform additional school-wide duties. 

Experience/Qualifications: 

● Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics or related discipline (Master’s degree

    preferred)

● Prior high school teaching experience preferred

● Excellent written and oral communication skills 

● NYS Teacher certification preferred
