The Communications Manager works closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Girl Scouts of Alaska’s (GSAK) communications, marketing, and IT strategy. This role is responsible for developing and implementing an annual communications and marketing plan to increase the organization’s visibility and participation. The Communications Manager enhances the Girl Scout experience through innovative communications, manages the website, social media, and digital content, and promotes the organization to key audiences. The manager collaborates with all departments to ensure brand consistency. They are also responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT plan and budget.

This position is based out of our Anchorage, Alaska Office and the pay starts at $62,000 annually.

- Exceptional at writing, editing, speaking, and your relationship-building skills, and your communications are always delivered with clarity, precision, and purpose.

You Need:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field — or equivalent experience that shows your passion and expertise.
- Technical proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Affinity Suite (Publisher, Designer, Photo) is a plus.
- A working knowledge of photography, videography, and digital content creation.
- Confidence navigating Windows-based systems and computer hardware (HP and Dell).
- Creative vision and strong design skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
