About the Position
The French American School of Princeton (FASP) seeks a dynamic, collaborative Director of Marketing and Communications to promote its exceptional bilingual, multicultural education. Working closely with the Head of School, Director of Enrollment Management, and Division Heads, the Director will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s marketing and communications strategy to enhance FASP’s reputation and support admissions and community engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Mission Alignment
- Develop and implement a marketing strategy centered on FASP’s mission, core values, and unique positioning.
Marketing and Communications Strategy
- Create, execute, and regularly evaluate a comprehensive marketing and communications plan that integrates digital, social, and traditional media, public relations, and events.
- Define metrics and benchmarks to assess the effectiveness of the strategy and adjust tactics accordingly.
Creative Oversight
- Lead the strategic and creative direction for all marketing materials to ensure cohesive and compelling messaging.
Publication Management
- Oversee the editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all print and electronic publications.
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
Website Management
- Regularly update and manage the school’s website (Finalsite CMS) to ensure accuracy, engagement, and strong SEO performance.
SEO and Google Ads
- Manage Google Ads campaigns and search engine optimization efforts working with a partner to support admissions and awareness goals. Provide instructions, monitor, and assess performance of Google Ads and SEO.
Social Media Management
- Curate and maintain vibrant and consistent content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, reflecting school life, admissions priorities, alumni achievements, and events.
Media Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate press coverage of school achievements and activities.
Photography and Visual Content
- Oversee photography needs for the website, social media, and publications, ensuring a consistent visual narrative.
Special Projects
- Lead marketing and communications initiatives for special events, including the school’s 25th Anniversary celebration.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple projects.
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree (required; advanced degree a plus).
- Minimum of two years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in an educational setting.
- Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in CMS platforms, digital marketing, and social media management.
- Working knowledge of Canva is required. Knowledge of other graphic design tools such as Photoshop and InDesign is a plus.
- Photography and video editing skills are a plus.
- French language proficiency (spoken and/or written) is desirable but not required.

Founded in 2000, the French American School of Princeton is an independent, non-profit, coeducational day school serving 173 students in grades PK–8. FASP’s bilingual and multicultural program blends French and American teaching methods to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
