The Events Coordinator is an entry-level, corporate-style event planning position where you will work directly with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications to plan large-scale events and captivating experiences. You’ll be responsible for both logistical management and event communications. You’ll also independently manage all logistical aspects of monthly Chamber-wide networking events.

About the Events: The Chamber hosts 12 large-scale events annually (300+ attendees), including our Annual Dinner, Inspired Women Luncheon, Arlington Small Business Resource Expo, the “State of” series (City, County, Higher Education, School District), and Golf Tournament. Monthly, the Chamber hosts Chamber After Hours and Business Over Breakfast.

Skills You Need:

  • Passion for and some experience in event planning
  • Exemplary writing skills, both short-form and long, especially email
  • Masterful verbal communication, networking skills and customer service 
  • Process-oriented with a love for checklists and documentation
  • Innate ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to quickly learn and retain information
  • Strong skills Microsoft Excel, PPT and Word 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) would be nice
     

Why This Job? This job will exponentially grow your skillset and build a corporate events portfolio. Our combined annual attendance for the events you’ll be planning is 9,000 people, including community stakeholders, elected officials and business leaders throughout Arlington and the North Texas region.

This is a full-time, exempt position that will work in person at the Chamber.
