AI Automation & Integration Engineer – Internship (with Full-Time Opportunity)

As we scale our operations, we’re embracing automation to streamline internal systems and deliver next-level service to our customers. We’re looking for a motivated and forward-thinking AI Automation & Integration Intern to join our team for Summer 2025—with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role after graduation.

This role is perfect for a student passionate about AI, automation, and system integration who wants to apply their skills to real-world business operations. 

College Credit:
This internship may be eligible for academic credit, depending on your school’s requirements. FloraFlex is happy to work with your institution to complete any paperwork, evaluations, or supervision needed to support your eligibility.
 

What You'll Do

Help design and deploy AI agents that automate business processes (e.g., customer support, order processing, reporting).

Work with tools like OpenAI’s GPT, LangChain, Python, and REST APIs to build intelligent workflows.

Assist with backend integrations to platforms such as Magento 2, Salesforce, and QuickBooks Online using secure APIs and plugins.

Build middleware systems to connect internal data and tools in real time.

Experiment with prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma).

Collaborate with operations, customer service, and IT to identify pain points and propose automation solutions.

Document your work for future scaling and handoff.
 

What We're Looking For

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.

Proficient in Python and/or JavaScript (Node.js).

Experience (personal, academic, or project-based) using LLMs, OpenAI, or other AI tools.

Understanding of API integrations, webhooks, and backend systems.

Comfortable working with or learning systems like Magento 2, Salesforce, or ERP platforms.

Eager to learn, highly self-motivated, and proactive in solving problems.

Bonus: experience with LangChain, FastAPI, Docker, or vector databases.
 

Internship Details

Location: On-site at FloraFlex HQ – 9411 Winnetka Ave, Chatsworth, CA 91311

Duration: 10–12 weeks (flexible start and end dates)

Compensation: Paid internship

Full-Time Opportunity: High-performing interns may receive a Job offer to join the team full-time prior to graduation.
