Event Host
The Event Host at Belle Âme Vineyard plays a vital role in ensuring seamless execution of weddings and private events. Acting as the on-site venue representative, the Event Host oversees day-of operations, supports guest needs, liaises with vendors, and upholds the vineyard’s standards of service. This position requires a blend of operational savvy, exceptional customer service, and the ability to think quickly and lead confidently.
Key Responsibilities
Event Venue Coordination
- In collaboration with the Event Planner/Day-of Coordinator, execute the event timeline according to the provided event materials and client plan.
- Ensure room transitions, vendor arrivals, and special requests are handled promptly and efficiently.
- Proactively monitor event progress and resolve any unforeseen challenges in real time.
Communication
- Act as the main point of contact for guests and vendors during the event.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the internal events team to ensure alignment and task completion.
- Assist the Day-of Coordinator with guest movement and crowd direction when needed.
Logistics & Operations
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring the venue is clean, orderly, and visually consistent with Belle Âme standards.
- Verify that all materials, rentals, and venue equipment are in place and operational.
- Uphold cleanliness and operational standards by regularly emptying trash, restocking bathroom supplies, and promptly addressing spills or messes.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety regulations and company policies throughout the event.
- Respond to emergencies with calm professionalism; administer first aid if certified and necessary.
Guest Services
- Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs with thoughtful, solution-oriented service.
- Manage guest concerns diplomatically, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Foster a welcoming and memorable experience that reflects the Belle Âme brand.
Venue Standards
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization in all guest-facing and back-of-house areas.
- Monitor and support bar operations, ensuring bartenders maintain cleanliness, organization, and pace of service.
- Step in or redirect staff as needed to maintain performance standards.
Team Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with the Events, Operations, and Hospitality teams.
- Contribute positively to team dynamics and assist fellow staff during high-volume periods.
Adaptability & Innovation
- Stay current on industry best practices and trends.
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving and flexible thinking during live events.
