The Community Outreach Intern position will support the ability to tell the story of the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging (COAAA), our services, and how consumers benefit.

Responsibilities & Projects

  • Housing – Assist with client intake processes, data entry, and coordination of services related to rental and utility assistance, housing navigation, and data collection.
  • Communication – Support the development and distribution of outreach materials, contribute to social media and website content, and assist with internal and external messaging related to division programs and events.
  • Caregiving – Learn about programs and services designed to support family and informal caregivers. Responsibilities may include screening incoming calls from individuals seeking caregiving support, gathering preliminary information, and forwarding inquiries to the appropriate staff for follow-up.
  • Education – Support community education initiatives by assisting with the coordination of workshops, staff trainings, and outreach/tabling.

*Applicants must be pursuing a degree in one of the following majors; Communication, Public Administration, Social Work, Public Health, Health Sciences, Community Health Worker, Public Relations.

 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
