Job Title: Logistics Coordinator – Intermodal Drayage

Location: Inwood, NY (Long Island)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Logistics Coordinator to handle essential aspects of our operations. This role will involve:

  • Load Planning: Sourcing truckers to ensure timely and efficient load delivery for our customers.
  • Account Management: Manage collections for customers in to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Invoicing: Processing freight brokerage invoices accurately and on time.
  • Lead Generation: Identifying and reaching out to potential freight customers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with drivers to assign loads and manage scheduling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers and truckers to secure trucking work.
  • Prepare, send, and follow up on invoices for completed freight jobs.
  • Maintain accurate records in Excel and company software.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable to secure payments professionally and efficiently.
  • Identify and target new customers through cold calling and proactive outreach.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field. preferred
  • No prior work experience necessary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office Suite applications.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation:

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience; up to $50,000 base.
  • Commission eligible based on new loads obtained for the company.
  • Benefits package, including health insurance options and paid time off.
