Are you a video editor who gets bored easily? Then this might be for you! We're Teslas Drones, a small (but mighty) startup based in Edmonds Washington with a mission to make drone footage more accessible, engaging, and—above all else—fun. Our projects range from creating cinematic commercials to editing fast-paced reels and podcast interviews. And the best part? No two days look the same.

Here's the role:
We’re hiring a Video Editor Intern who’s comfortable with:

• Editing short-form content like social media reels and branded content
• Cutting seated interviews into polished, professional edits (think clear audio, clean cuts, branded titles)
• Crafting drone footage into mini-commercials and cinematic promos
• Syncing music, trimming awkward pauses, fixing shaky footage, adding captions/titles, color-correcting, and making clients look good (like really good)
• Occasionally attending events or shoots to understand the vibe and help tell better stories (yup—you’ll be paid for it!)
• Working directly with the owners and our tiny but AWESOME team (just 3 of us!)—no corporate red tape, just creative freedom and collaboration

We’re looking for someone available 4 days a week, 4 hours a day, paid $20/hour. You can pick your own hours and days of the week to work! We're very flexible. This is an in-person position only—we believe collaboration, real-time feedback, and good vibes happen best when we’re together in the same space. No hybrid. No remote.

This is not the kind of internship where you fetch coffee or do busywork. You’ll be working on real edits for real clients. You’ll learn the ins and outs of visual storytelling, content production, and client branding—and you'll have a team that actually appreciates your ideas.

Requirements:
You don’t need 10 years of experience, but we do need you to bring passion and baseline skills. Here's what we're hoping for:

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or After Effects = big bonus)
• Strong understanding of editing pacing for short-form content (like TikToks, Reels, and YouTube Shorts)
• Good ear for audio cleanup and sound balancing
• An eye for aesthetic composition and color
• Willingness to learn, experiment, and receive feedback
• Dependability: you show up, you try your best, and you're kind about it

Bonus Skills (not required but cool if you’ve got 'em):

• Photoshop or Lightroom knowledge
• Graphic design or animation skills
• You have experience filming with DSLRs or drones
• Social media savvy (editing for audience engagement)
• Humor. We like funny people. Life’s short.
