Are you a board-certified psychiatrist with a passion for leadership and public service? The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a dynamic Medical Director to lead the psychiatric services at Chester Mental Health Center, the state’s maximum-security forensic psychiatric hospital.

💼 What You’ll Do:
• Lead and manage medical services at Chester Mental Health Center
• Supervise clinical teams and ensure high-quality, recovery-focused care
• Develop and oversee policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance
• Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and patient care
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve outcomes

📚 What We’re Looking For:
• Illinois Physician and Surgeon License
• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• At least 3 years of experience directing and evaluating clinical programs
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
