Civil Engineering Designers

Stahl Sheaffer regularly seeks to hire Designers for multiple disciplines and office locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist project teams in the development of plans, technical specifications, and regulatory submission.
  • Develop feasibility studies.
  • Develop design details and technical recommendations.
  • Assess the cost‐effective constructability of projects and generally evaluate the quality of the project.
  • Provide day‐to‐day technical support, guidance, and input.
  • Lead in the preparation or modification of reports, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.

Minimum Requirements for the Position:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • The ability to obtain state and federal background clearances to permit working on-site when necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license and daily access to a motor vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A highly organized approach to tasks and a high level of initiative.
  • Proficient working knowledge of CADD programs especially Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills with co-workers and clients.
