Job Overview
SSM Industries, Inc. is seeking a Plumbing / HVAC Estimator to join our team in Carlisle, PA. This position is responsible for compiling bids from start to finish, including reviewing bid specifications, RFIs, addendums, and project plans. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of estimating/project management experience and a strong understanding of material takeoffs, job costing, and procurement, but it is not necessary. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate / coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:
Compile bids for projects from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Review bid specifications, RFIs, addendums, and project plans to determine scope.
Review narratives to determine the customers needs.
Obtain pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors for materials and equipment.
Perform digital takeoffs for pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and equipment.
Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, quotes, etc.
Qualifications
SSM prefers 2+ years of plumbing estimating/project management experience in the commercial field but not necessary.
Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
Strong organizational, timeline management and project management skills.
Leadership experience is a plus.

Work Schedule
Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
On-Call Opportunities: As needed to ensure client satisfaction.
Work Location
This position is based in Carlisle, PA, and will require in-person work.
