Financial Advisor Internship
I'm hiring one intern to learn directly under me, the President and Senior Financial Advisor of the company. You'll get to sit in on client meetings, help with the goal-setting and financial planning for clients, and assist in reviewing economic data and investment research.
This will be a great learning experience for someone who wants to get involved, take ownership, be entrepreneurial and problem solve. We are a very small firm so you'll get firsthand experience in all the different facets of running a company: marketing, accounting, compliance, administration, etc. Being a small firm also allows us to be more flexible with your schedule, you're able to provide input on how the company is run, and you can see the impact of your work in our clients' lives.
Working in the financial advisory industry is mostly about providing exceptional service to our clients. You'll get to perform a lot of diverse job functions, meet super interesting people, and continually learn about how the world works. If this is something that sounds interesting to you, then please apply to our internship.
Learning Objectives & Goals:
- Entrepreneurship - learn the basics of running a business: cashflow, management, budgeting, planning, etc.
- Personal Finance - learn about many crucial personal finance topics that will help you throughout life: goal-setting, tax-planning, managing debt/credit cards, purchasing real estate, saving for college, etc.
- Marketing - learn how to create a marketing campaign and follow-it through to inception.

- Administration - learn how to complete important office tasks such as filing systems, phone answering techniques, binding presentations, processing client documentation, and more.
- Investment Analysis - learn how to properly analysis an investment and determine if it's a suitable instrument for a specific client.
What You Can Expect In The Internship:
- A 3-month internship
- A flexible schedule of 12-16 hours per week, including both in-office and work-from-home options.
- Work directly under the supervision of the President of the firm who has over 16 years of industry experience.
- Receive routine evaluations at the end of every month, as well as a final exit interview and professional recommendation.
If you're feeling motivated, please write a short blurb about what interests you about this internship. Just a few sentences please, cover letter not required.
