About the Role
We’re looking for an Economic Research & Development Intern with a strong technical foundation (CS/Math) and a deep interest in economics and capital markets. You’ll play a dual role: researching key macro trends and market developments, and supporting the technical team in building tools and models that power our insights platform.
This role is ideal for students who enjoy combining data science with economic thinking and want to work on the frontier of market analytics and fintech content delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Research and monitor macroeconomic indicators, company earnings, and capital market trends
- Collaborate on development of research tools (e.g., web scrapers, data pipelines, analysis scripts)
- Analyze and summarize financial and economic datasets for internal and external use
- Assist in automating the generation of market briefs, sentiment trackers, or visual insights
- Contribute to building backend logic that supports our AI-driven market research platform
- Help translate raw data into compelling insights for both retail and institutional audiences
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (junior/senior preferred)
- Strong technical skills: Python, SQL, or R (web scraping, data analysis, automation preferred)
- Solid demonstrated understanding of economic principles and financial markets
- Ability to communicate technical and economic concepts clearly
- Bonus: Familiarity with APIs, data visualization libraries, or interest in content creation (e.g., blogs or threads)
