Summary
As an Operations Manager at Can-Am Wireless LLC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our business. This position is essential for ensuring that our corporate clients receive exceptional service and high-quality products. You will lead a dedicated team, implement strategic initiatives, and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
- Supervise staff and provide guidance to enhance team performance.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline operations.
- Oversee project management activities from initiation through completion.
- Engage in strategic planning to align operational goals with company objectives.
- Monitor profit loss metrics and develop strategies to improve financial performance.
- Foster business development opportunities by identifying new markets and partnerships.
- Lead sales initiatives to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
- The Operations Manager (OM) position is a critical role within the eCommerce store, accountable for all operational aspects of the business to execute the Company's objectives, ensure customer satisfaction, and maximize sales
- The OM leads and manages the warehouse and eCommerce store operations team, maintaining a neat, clean, and safe warehouse & eCommerce environment that is inviting for customers and enjoyable for team members
- Success in this role is achieved through effective problem-solving, staff management, and collaboration with the CEO/COO
- The OM is responsible for building, coaching, and maintaining a high-performing eCommerce store team that aligns with Can-Am's Vision, Mission, Values, and business objectives
- This includes recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing team members to ensure a positive customer experience
- The OM serves as a role model and coach, driving performance, setting goals, and implementing follow-up actions with team members as necessary
- Employment decisions regarding the Operations team, including hiring, compensation, promotions, and disciplinary actions, are also within the OM's purview
- In collaboration with the CEO & COO, the OM maximizes staffing effectiveness to support traffic, sales, and customer experience, ensuring compliance with timekeeping policies and accurate payroll processing
- The OM reviews and communicates eCommerce store financial data, develops budgets, and executes strategies to maximize sales and profits
- Additionally, the OM oversees task management, scheduling team members, and validating task completion
- The OM is responsible for managing warehouse opening and closing processes, ensuring operational readiness, and maintaining security for team members and assets
- They lead the execution of freight and stocking processes, ensuring safety and timely management of new stock
- The OM addresses customer concerns promptly and leads the store team in areas such as customer satisfaction, team development, inventory management, cash control, safety, and expense control, ensuring effective and profitable store operations
- Regular meetings with team members on these subjects are also part of the OM's responsibilities, along with any additional tasks assigned
- Lead and manage the warehouse and eCommerce store operations team to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
- Recruit, interview, hire, and manage team members to ensure a positive customer experience
- Coach and develop team members, driving performance and setting goals
- Make employment decisions for Operations team members, including hiring and disciplinary actions
- Coordinate with the CEO & COO to maximize staffing effectiveness and ensure compliance with timekeeping policies
- Review and analyze warehouse & eCommerce store financial data, developing budgets and strategies to maximize sales and profits
- Oversee task management by planning and scheduling team members for their shifts and tasks
- Manage warehouse opening, closing, and Front-End processes, ensuring operational readiness
- Lead the execution of freight and stocking processes, ensuring safety and timely management of new stock
- Address customer concerns in a timely manner and lead the team in customer satisfaction efforts
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management or related field.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Excellent project management skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and execution.
- Experience in business development is a plus but not required.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on profit loss management.
- At least 18 years old
- At least 3 years of Management/Leadership experience or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of direct responsibility for leading 5 or more people in multiple departments or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience with annual revenue, operating budget, or profit & loss responsibility of at least $5 million
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs or team lift 100 lbs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills
- Experience in retail / eCommerce operations management
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis
