Farm & Market Assistant

Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual to help with weekly farmers markets and assist with day-to-day farm operations, including mushroom harvesting and block production. This is a physically active role and ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a small team.
 
Primary Responsibilities
Work the Grant Park Farmers Market on Sundays (setup, sales, and breakdown)
Assist with mushroom harvesting, cleaning, and packaging
Help with block production, including sterilization, inoculation, and general workflow support
 
Qualifications
Must have reliable transportation to and from the farm and markets to fulfill job duties
Must be punctual, organized, and a self-starter
Previous farm or market experience is a plus but not required

Compensation: Starting at $15/hour, with a performance review and potential raise after 60 days

Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to stand and move for extended periods
Must be comfortable with repetitive manual labor in a production environment

Schedule:

Monday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Sunday: 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Total: ~16 hours/week
