Role Overview

As a Business Development Intern, you’ll operate at the intersection of partnerships, growth, and go-to-market strategy — helping us source and execute the foundational relationships that will define our trajectory.
This role is ideal for intellectually sharp, results-driven individuals who have pursued rigorous academic disciplines and are eager to apply structured thinking in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment. We are specifically seeking candidates who are pursuing or have completed degrees in business, finance, mathematics, economics, engineering, physics, computer science, philosophy, or similarly demanding fields.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Conduct detailed market research to identify high-value partnership opportunities in sectors like sports, media, gaming, and technology.
- Build and manage qualified prospect pipelines across B2B and strategic relationship categories.
- Support segmentation and scoring efforts based on opportunity value, product fit, and strategic alignment.
Outreach & Relationship Building
- Draft and send high-impact outbound communications tailored to executive-level and partner stakeholders.
- Assist with inbound and outbound campaigns that generate meetings, align interests, and build brand equity.
- Test and refine messaging frameworks, leveraging data and feedback to improve outreach effectiveness.
Deal Support
- Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, and partnership materials tailored to strategic audiences.
- Maintain an organized CRM pipeline and ensure detailed tracking of partner conversations and progress.
- Coordinate with internal teams to shape solutions and prepare for external meetings.
Strategic Projects
- Conduct whitespace analysis, competitive benchmarking, and category mapping to guide expansion efforts.
- Analyze performance metrics from campaigns and partnerships to identify optimizations and bottlenecks.
- Contribute to business planning and strategic growth conversations with company leadership.
Technical Skills & Plus Areas
Required Foundation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for persuasion and clarity.
- High proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and documentation tools.
- Strong attention to detail, with reliable task follow-through and CRM hygiene.
Bonus Expertise
- Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and outbound tools (e.g., Apollo, Mailshake).
- Interest in betting markets, behavioral economics, or the psychology of decision-making.
- Familiarity with media, gaming, or fintech industries.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in a rigorous academic discipline such as business, finance, economics, mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, or philosophy.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, build structure, and execute autonomously.
