Outside Service Salesperson

Outside Service Salespeople can expect any of the following responsibilities: 

  • Identify potential customers via phone, networking, and/or social media to assist them with Service and Parts needs to meet company targets.
  • Grow an existing customer base and develop new strategies to expand the book of business.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and superior communication skills in working with customers to set achievable expectations and profitable deals.
  • Routinely review and develop existing customers for growth opportunities.
  • Proactively manage work activities in the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (ZOHO experience is a plus).
  • Adapt to and support new technical tools and processes for improving customer and deal management.
  • Collaborate with the Service and Parts team to properly serve customers, setting reasonable expectations on timing and pricing.
  • Represent GWT with professionalism and integrity, modeling adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Support the decision-making process for non-standard deals with data, analysis, and documentation.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to coordinate and obtain approvals for non-standard quotes.
  • Deliver parts as needed.
  • Provide feedback to help shape and execute a sales strategy that fosters goal achievement and scalable success.
  • Create customized service programs based on customer needs and business types.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety at all times.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the heavy-duty trailer industry
  • MVR with a clean driving record – Company vehicle provided
  • Exceptional follow-up and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience with CRM software (ZOHO preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be a self-starter that enjoys building and maintaining an established territory
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work across departments

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior outside sales experience in the semi-trailer or heavy equipment industry
