Video Production and Marketing Intern

ASCE Water Institutes and CTA is seeking a motivated intern to collaborate and learn with our talented staff for the Spring/Summer of 2025. As a Video Production and Marketing Intern, you will learn and support ASCE’s Water Institutes/CTA department and volunteers by contributing marketing efforts and video content development. If you are inspired by big challenges and dedicated to working on real projects that will help us grow, then this is the internship for you! Duration mid-June – end of August.

As a Video Production and Marketing Intern, you will:

  • Assist in creating, editing, and optimizing YouTube video content, including tutorials and promotional materials to enhance engagement and reach
  • Support website upgrades by integrating various multimedia elements
  • Collaborate with the marketing staff to align multimedia projects with branding and SEO strategies
  • Aid in the curation and production the content necessary to create videos that give an overview of the Water Institutes and the Centre for Technical Advancement

Position Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Video Production, Digital Marketing, Multimedia, or other related discipline
  • Understanding of camera basics, effective lighting and the need for clear audio quality
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro, or other comparable software (such as DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
  • Strong sense of creativity and internet research skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments

Deliverables:

  • Approximately 5-6 minute professional video representing and providing an overview of the Centre for Technical Advancement
  • Approximately 5-6 minute professional video representing the Coasts, Oceans, Ports & Rivers Institute (COPRI)
  • Approximately 5-6 minute professional video representing the Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI)
  • Approximately two 3-4 minute professional videos promoting future EWRI and COPRI events
