Summer Sales Student Intern (Raleigh, NC)

Job Title: Summer Sales Student Intern

Divisions: Group Benefits; Financial Services; Individual Medical

Location: Raleigh, NC

Hiring Range: $15.00/Hour

Commitment: 10-Week Summer Commitment to The Cason Group (May – August 2025), 20 hours per week

Our Summer Sales Interns will engage in meaningful work experiences with our sales and support teams across our Group Benefits, Financial Services, and Individual Medical divisions. Interns will gain exposure to careers in the Life/Health Insurance industry while developing skills in communication and business development.

What Our Summer Sales Interns Do:

  • Collaborate and Communicate: collaborate with Sales Representatives to identify and execute sales-support functions, including setting appointments, running reports, creating spreadsheets, and completing various related projects; evaluate in-force insurance cases across all divisions and communicate additional opportunities for prospective sales
  • Engage as a Team Player: provide support for Sales Representatives by performing a variety of behind-the-scenes functions that assist Reps in exceeding defined sales goals; participate in friendly workplace competitions to help move the organization forward through delivering mock sales presentations

What We Are Looking For:

  • Students who are currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Consulting, and/or related Business fields
    • Preference will be given to Risk Management/Insurance and Business majors
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of project execution along with compliance of deadlines for a variety of deliverables
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer services skills as well as the ability to work well with others to secure their support and cooperation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Teams); knowledge of databases
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image
