Temporary AI Consultant

Job Title: Temporary AI Consultant – Large Language Model (LLM) Training
Location: Remote
Duration: 8–12 weeks (8–10 hours per week)
Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience

About Us:

Opkey is a forward-thinking tech company building next-generation automation ERP solutions powered by artificial intelligence. We are currently enhancing our internal large language model (LLM) systems and seeking a temporary consultant to contribute part-time support in training, evaluating, and refining LLM performance.

Position Overview:

This role is ideal for a graduate-level student or early-career researcher with hands-on experience in LLM applications, prompt design, and evaluation methods. The consultant will contribute to targeted model fine-tuning, help develop prompt libraries and support internal testing workflows. This is a part-time engagement with high-impact visibility.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the evaluation and refinement of large language model responses
• Contribute to the development of high-quality prompt templates for domain-specific use cases
• Provide input on data curation, evaluation criteria, and output benchmarking
• Support ethical review of model behavior and help mitigate bias in outputs
• Collaborate asynchronously with a small internal team and document findings clearly

Ideal Qualifications:

• Graduate-level coursework or research in AI, NLP, data science, or a related field
• Experience designing and evaluating prompts for LLMs (e.g., GPT, Claude, LLaMA, etc.)
• Familiarity with model tuning and/or evaluation frameworks
• Strong written communication skills with attention to clarity, structure, and tone
• Interest in applied generative AI and the evolving LLM ecosystem
• Comfortable working independently on part-time, asynchronous schedules, to align with teams in the US and India

Bonus Experience:

• Knowledge of prompt engineering techniques, prompt chaining, or tool use in LLM contexts
• Exposure to model alignment concepts or human-in-the-loop evaluation
• Comfort with version control (Git), Notion, or collaboration tools 
• Understanding of ERP systems like Workday, Oracle, SAP
