Marketing Specialist/Content Creator

Responsibilities: This position plays a vital role in shaping the narrative of Paris Junior College (PJC), creating compelling and engaging content that drives engagement, strengthens brand loyalty, and connects with prospective and current students, parents, faculty, staff, and the broader communities PJC serves. This position is responsible for crafting visually captivating and emotionally resonant stories that bring the PJC brand to life across digital platforms, including the college’s website, social media channels, and other online mediums. The Content Creator works closely with marketing, student services, and academic teams to develop content strategies that align PJC's brand voice and messaging with the college’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. The ideal candidate is a skilled visual communicator with a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of how to leverage digital media to inspire and engage key audiences. This position will include working at Paris Campus, Greenville Center, Sulphur Springs Center and remote work available at times.

Qualifications: Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in videography, photography, graphic design, or content creation. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.), Canva, and other relevant design software. Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), content management systems (CMS), DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lighting, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Lightroom, Photoshop) or equivalent programs. Ability to shoot and edit videos, create animations, and produce high-quality images, manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, work collaboratively in a team environment, establish and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and community members, manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with external vendors for digital media services, coupled with strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to engage a wide range of constituents, developing and implementing new workflows or procedures. Knowledge of marketing trends, strategies, and best practices, particularly for higher education institutions, photography lighting techniques and studio setups preferred, familiarity with motion graphics and animation preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, computer, problem-solving, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills, adept at handling public relations challenges with courtesy and professionalism. design elements and visual communication principles to produce content that is both aesthetically pleasing and strategically impactful, proven skills in creative content development, with an understanding of how visual storytelling can convey key messages and drive audience engagement.

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000.

Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
