Process Engineer

Location: Spring Grove, Pennsylvania

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with rotating weekend coverage

As a Process Engineer at Pixelle, you’ll be a key part of the team that keeps our mill running smarter, cleaner, and more efficiently. You’ll help solve real-world challenges—like reducing environmental impact, improving quality, and optimizing costs—while developing the skills to grow into a technical leader.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support trials for product and cost improvements, including developing trial plans and reporting on results
  • Drive initiatives to improve product quality and reduce variability and waste
  • Support the creation of manufacturing specs for new grades via pilot coater and production-scale evaluations
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to solve technical issues and reduce downtime
  • Provide hands-on leadership during machine shutdowns and start-ups
  • Contribute to our environmental goals by supporting sustainable practices
  • Promote and model a strong safety culture

What We Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or a related discipline (other engineering degrees will be considered)
  • Problem-solving mindset and a strong drive to deliver results
  • Ability to make decisions with confidence—even when the path forward isn’t crystal clear
  • Strong communication and peer collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with process management, technical analysis, or industrial systems (internship or co-op experience is a plus)
