GET STARTED ON YOUR PATH TO BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINER

This post is aimed at college students seeking an internship to fulfill their final graduation requirements. It presents a unique opportunity to gain insights into why Body by Choice has established itself as a leader in personalized one-on-one training in West Michigan. Our team consists of 16 dedicated professionals, many of whom began their journey with us through this very internship before being offered permanent positions. We are looking for high achievers who are eager to enhance their skills and knowledge every day.

All applicants will participate in two interviews designed to help both you and our team assess if you’re a good match for Body by Choice Training and vice versa!

What You Will Learn:

- The inner workings of a private gym, including client onboarding, marketing strategies, sales techniques, customer service excellence, and facility management.
- How to assess new clients effectively. Our thorough evaluation process serves as the foundation for creating customized exercise plans. This includes conducting passive length-tension assessments, active functional movement screenings, and structural balance tests to identify strength imbalances.
- A solid grasp of personalized program design principles using periodization methods focused on structural balance, relative strength, hypertrophy, and endurance.
- Fundamental concepts of wellness coaching encompassing mindset development, nutrition guidance, and supplementation advice.
- Basic knowledge of Stretch Therapy techniques and recovery practices.
- Skills for leading effective training sessions that align exercises with clients’ needs while focusing on proper technique and goal achievement.
- Practical application of theoretical concepts during weekly hands-on sessions.
