GGG Entrepreneurship Mentor

Get Girls Going (GGG) empowers Black teen girls to create social enterprises that solve problems in the world, and in doing so equips them to be leaders that challenge racial and gender inequities that prevent them from success. Our flagship program, a six-week Summer Incubator, invites Black high school girls to participate in a transformative youth entrepreneurship experience. To ensure the success of every participant, GGG hires dynamic college women to serve as mentors, providing one-on-one guidance, support, and encouragement.

Who would be a good fit to be a GGG Entrepreneurship Mentor?

A GGG entrepreneurship mentor is someone who is motivated to make a difference in their community. She is someone who communicates well with others and can work effectively in a team. She is someone who is responsible and is able to make decisions that puts her mentee at the center. She is someone who likes to be hands on. She is accountable, supportive, honest, personable, dedicated, curious, creative, mission driven, passionate and someone who is eager to learn!


 

What a GGG entrepreneurship mentor will be responsible for:

  • Assist in facilitating entrepreneurial workshops as an Entrepreneurship Education Assistant.
  • Help design, develop, and lead specialized workshops.
  • Coach mentees throughout the summer incubator..
  • Lead group activities and coordinate mini-events for the summer cohort.
  • Complete weekly one-on-one check-ins with mentees to provide personalized support.
  • Participate in organizational leadership meetings to offer input and gain professional development.
  • Collaborate with fellow mentors to manage administrative tasks for the program.

                                                          


 

Qualifications:

  • Should have a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation
  • A strong passion for entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Proven ability to supervise and motivate teens to achieve their goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
  • Experience working with youth or teen girls.
  • Must be 19–24 years old.


 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Identifies as BIPOC woman 
  • Experience with technologies such as: MS suite, Canva or Adobe.
  • An interest in nonprofit administration or management 
  • Enrolled in a College/University
