Technical Sales Engineer

Technical Sales Engineer- International Sales South America

 

Duties:  Organize sales meetings, prepare and deliver technical presentations for selling and explaining separation, vibratory and magnetic separation, metal detection and mineral and materials processing equipment in South America. Confer with customers, engineers and technical staff to analyze, plan, modify and develop product configurations and assess needs to size and select suitable mechanical and process equipment. Analyze and solve application problems and provide technical assistance to customers.  Recommend appropriate equipment for customer application. Develop custom products applying proprietary equipment and product design, technology and engineering processes to specific customer applications.  Commission equipment, assist customers solve problems with installed equipment and train customers in use of equipment.  Coordinate sales distribution, submission of tenders, compile quotations, evaluate sales targets, develop KPIs, and monitor client preferences to determine focus of sales efforts. 

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering. Ability to explain engineering applications of equipment to Spanish speaking customers.  Familiarity with process optimization, layout design, and applying lean principles.

 

Travel:  Approximately 40% travel to customers in South America and attend trade shows.
