Job Summary and Mission:
The Research Analyst supports the Marketing and Insights team to drive sales, share, equity, and beverage category growth. This role influences category strategy utilizing coffee and beverages industry knowledge, shopper insights, and business analytics. Additionally, the position identifies growth opportunities via best-in-class analytics including assortment optimization and consumer trends. Working cross functionally with our corporate based team to drive results is a key success factor.
Further areas of focus include working directly with the Director of Customer Innovation on specific customer-facing initiatives and the development and maintenance of internal assets supporting innovation.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
· Foster a consultative approach that helps set category direction
· Technical proficiency and expertise in insights platforms to drive efficient identification of category growth driver opportunities and ideas to close gaps
· Demonstrate initiative and intellectual curiosity to explore the data and insights to develop actionable insights and push new and creative thought
· Maintain dashboards or other visualizations to make real-time data and insights accessible to stakeholders
· Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate projects and initiatives and identify links between Customer behaviors and business results
· Determine methodologies and execute analytical approaches to evaluate business opportunities
· Build user-friendly answers to marketing questions and clearly communicate insights through data visualizations and storytelling
· Manage planned and ad hoc analytic requests and ensure timely delivery of reporting and insights
· Supports the assortment precision process to define optimal assortment and make beverage offering recommendations
· Supports development of customers programs through assortment recommendations and site development enabled through the guidance of our Sales and Customer Marketing teams
· Develops custom reporting using customer data and advanced analytics
· Leverages tools and data to develop new insights
· Interprets company category story into customer specific opportunities for growth
· The optimization and population of a searchable, sharable digital drink recipe repository.
· Assisting as needed with the preparation and execution of key customer presentations
· Assisting with the organization and management of the beverage innovation lab, including inventory documentation and maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
· 2+ years of professional work experience
· Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or other
· Strong analytical skills in hypothesis generation and data identification
· Advanced Excel skills/Data visualization
· Skilled in PowerPoint
· Experience partnering well with cross-functional teams, being highly collaborative
· Ability to build strong relationships
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to develop and oversee projects and processes
· Quick and versatile learner
· Ability to convey insights that are clear, compelling, and concise
