Editorial Assistant

We seek a summer Editorial Assistant for the Journal of Elections, Public Opinion & Parties
(JEPOP). The duties of the Editorial Assistant include, but are not limited to, the following.
 Corresponding with editors, journal reviewers, authors, and relevant staff at Taylor &
Francis.
 Evaluating whether manuscripts submitted to the Journal fulfill all requirements for
submission.
 Distributing manuscripts across editors.
 Copyediting manuscripts accepted for publication.
 Maintaining the Journal’s social media accounts.
 Troubleshooting the flow of manuscripts through the publication process.
Minimum requirements: We are seeking a candidate with a MA in political science or closely related field. The candidate should have experience reading and assessing quantitative political science research in the fields of comparative politics, electoral politics, and party politics at the graduate level. Candidates must be able to read and assess the relevance of political science manuscripts to the Journal’s mission and the research areas of the Journal’s editors. Experience working with international scholars of comparative politics is preferred.
