English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor

Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced ESL Instructor to teach adult learners at various proficiency levels (beginner through advanced). This in-person role requires an engaging educator who can create dynamic classroom experience, monitor student progress, and contribute to our mission of language empowerment.
Responsibilities:
● Plan and deliver interactive ESL lessons tailored to adult learners

● Teach all levels, from beginner to advanced, using communicative and student-centered approaches

● Maintain accurate attendance records and track student progress

● Conduct informal and formal assessments to guide instruction and measure learning outcomes

● Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that respects cultural diversity

● Collaborate with staff to support student success

Minimum Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree (in any field)

● At least 1 year of in-person ESL teaching experience with adult learners

● Strong communication and classroom management skills

● Familiarity with adult learning principles and diverse learning styles

Preferred Qualifications:
● TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification

● Experience teaching in an ESL school or community-based program

● Comfort integrating technology into lessons (e.g. Google Classroom, Zoom, digital ESL tools)

Schedule:
Flexible part-time to full-time hours; ex: weekday, evenings, and/or weekends
