About My Dad’s Chips

My Dad’s Chips is a family-founded snack company who wants to Change The Way You Chip!™ with our thin-sliced, kettle-cooked russet potato chips. Built on the bond between a father and his family, our mission is to bring people together with bold flavors, authentic stories, and a deep love for good food. Based in Gaithersburg, MD, we’re growing fast and looking for a creative, motivated intern to join our marketing team this fall.

 

Internship Overview
The Marketing Intern will assist in executing brand-building strategies, social media campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives. This is a hands-on role designed to give you real-world experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) marketing while contributing meaningfully to a growing business. The Marketing Intern will report directly to the Marketing Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with content creation for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
  • Create and execute Meta ad campaigns
  • Enhance e-commerce presence on company's website, Tik Tok Shop, and Amazon
  • Complete minor updates to company's website design
  • Support planning and coordination of marketing events, including in-store demos and local festivals
  • Collaborate on email newsletter content

 

Learning Objectives

  • Develop a foundational understanding of marketing strategy within the consumer-packaged goods space
  • Gain practical experience in social media content creation, copywriting, and analytics
  • Learn how to interpret marketing data to drive customer engagement and sales performance

 

Internship Details

  • Location: Remote + Local Travel (taking content at stores, events, etc.)
  • Compensation: Paid internship — $500/month
  • Hours: 15 hours per week, flexible scheduling
  • Length: August 18, 2025 - December 2, 2025 (with potential to continue in Spring 2026)
  • Citizenship Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

 

Applicant Requirements

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Marketing, Communications, Business, Advertising, or related field (open to others with interest in CPG)
  • Desired Skills & Aptitudes:
    • Strong written communication and storytelling skills
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and content trends (especially TikTok and Instagram)
    • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop, or similar tools is a plus
    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and open to feedback
