Laboratory Assistant - Carnevale Lab

The Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Lab (ARBL) within the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University is an interdepartmental program focusing on research, teaching and service in the area of reproductive biology of domestic animals. Faculty of the ARBL includes members of three departments in two colleges.The ARBL has been recognized as a Colorado State University Program of Research and Scholarly Excellence since 1989.

This position will be working in the Carnevale laboratory at Foothill's Campus.  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with ongoing research in the areas of gamete/embryo physiology, IVF, and equine reproduction; lab maintenance and management; horse handling; data collection and entry. This position reports to the lab director.  Although overtime eligible this position will not be expected to have any overtime.

  • Experience in handling horses
  • Some knowledge of equine reproduction
  • Ability to work outside of traditional work hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Willing to collect specimens from abattoir or outside entities and travel during various weather conditions.
  • Degree/background in a biological field.
