The Journalism and Media Communication Department is looking for students to work in our Equipment Room. This position involves various tasks:

  • Tracking and organizing inventory
  • Checking equipment in and out
  • Helping students and faculty use our equipment
  • Taking initiative and maintaining a clean workspace
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements         

  • Ability to work in a detailed environment and follow direction
  • Ability to learn and use new inventory as it comes in
  • Ability to work in a shared workspace and communicate well
  • Ability to be proactive and take initiative to help workspace

This is a work-study position; must have a work-study award to apply

Desired Skills but not required:

  • Experience in the operation of video cameras
  • Experience with lighting/audio equipment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining camera, audio, and light gear
