Position Overview

The Financial Analyst is a detailed oriented individual skilled in various financial analysis, financial reporting, and financial planning functions.  The FA plays an important role in creating reporting and analysis to be distributed to various stakeholders including executive management, the board of directors, sales channel leaders, department managers, and others. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, preparing, and distributing various sales channel financial results with respect to revenue, margin, and profitability against prior period trends, budgets, and forecasts.  Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
  • Assisting the CFO, SVP, senior management, sales channel leaders and department managers in financial planning and results management.  Create and distribute reports to various leaders on financial performance and engage in dialogue about major variances, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist the SVP in preparing various corporate/consolidated reporting packages and presentations to be distributed to the executive leadership team and the board of directors.
  • Actively participate in the budgeting and forecast process utilizing Workday Adaptive, Excel and other tools.
  • Create and distribute margin reporting and operating expense reports to department managers monthly and review performance with relevant leaders.
  • Work closely with the Corporate Accountants, Treasury, AP/AR, Residuals and Commissions teams to understand and investigate accounting entries within NetSuite.
  • Analyze residual reporting, including trends and fluctuations in profitability, margin, pricing, and processing volumes.
  • Collect, summarize and organize data.
  • Other ad hoc finance duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business.
  • 1-3 years of FP&A or managerial accounting / financial management experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadliness
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills, including advanced functions and data analysis. Experience in working with and analyzing large data sets
  • Skilled in extracting information / reports from accounting systems, with NetSuite preferred.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and a passion for process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure, managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in the payment processing industry preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information and company strategies
