Sales Associate & Marketing Specialist
Join our creative and expanding Fine Arts studio, The Artist Lab, located in Carmel Valley, San Diego. We offer educational art classes ranging from Drawing & Painting to Mixed Media Programs for children and adults. Unlike traditional art studios, we embrace a contemporary approach, exploring diverse art mediums and creating fine art. We are seeking a high-energy Sales Associate & Marketing Specialist who is passionate about sales, client engagement, and growing a vibrant community. Art knowledge is a plus, but if you’re a driven marketer and natural salesperson, we’ll train you to thrive in our creative environment!
Responsibilities:
Client Communication & Relationship Building
- Be the friendly, engaging face of our studio—build strong connections with students, parents, and visitors.
- Proactively foster long-term client relationships that drive enrollment and retention.
Sales-Driven Marketing Execution
- Create and implement marketing strategies that directly result in increased class enrollments.
- Manage and grow our presence across Google Business, Instagram, Facebook, Red Note, and our website.
- Suggest and execute innovative marketing initiatives to expand our reach and sales pipeline.
Graphic Design & Visual Promotion
- Design compelling marketing materials using Canva, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Promote classes, seasonal workshops, and events with professional, eye-catching visuals.
Operational & Administrative Excellence
- Coordinate class schedules, manage phone/email communication, and oversee appointment rescheduling.
- Learn and utilize our Pike payment system to process transactions and generate reports.
- Maintain accuracy and efficiency across all studio operations and client records.
- Proficiency in WordPress, Google Docs, and online mass mailing systems e.g. Mail-chimp preferred. Quick learner for our Pike payment and enrollment system, processing payments, and handling financial reports.
Studio Collaboration & Event Support
- Work closely with the business development manager & lead teachers to organize promotional events, exhibitions, and workshops.
- Assist with studio organization, event setup, and customer experience enhancement.
- Assist with studio cleanup and event setup. Run errands and handle necessary front-desk and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
Willingness to work on weekends.
Prior experience in art, marketing, sales, and receptionist/front-desk roles preferred.
Active engagement in promoting and networking for our classes to grow clientele.
Part-time job with a competitive package, including base salary and sales-based commission.
Salary: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (plus commission)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, with weekend availability.
