Job Title: Production Assistant Intern

Location: Birmingham, Alabama

Internship Term: Summer 2025 / Fall 2025

Hours: 15–20 hours minimum

Compensation: $12–$15

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Production Assistant Intern to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will gain direct experience in the day-to-day operations of media production. In addition to supporting production workflows, you will be involved in all aspects of the marketing team, contributing to campaign planning, content creation, and brand storytelling.

 

You’ll support our production team on set, in the office, and during post-production processes, while also gaining exposure to broader marketing strategies and initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a well-rounded foundation in both production and marketing.

 

Responsibilities

Assist in pre-production tasks such as equipment preparation, props, and wardrobe

Support on-set activities, including setup, breakdown, and general crew assistance

Handle administrative duties like organizing production documents, call sheets, and equipment logs

Help manage digital assets and provide basic editing assistance (if applicable)

Contribute to broader marketing projects such as campaign brainstorming, social media content development, and brand communication strategies

Maintain a professional, positive attitude on and off set

 

Qualifications

Current student or recent graduate in Film, Media, Communications, or Marketing

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Basic knowledge of production equipment and terminology is a plus

Comfortable with flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
