Quality Engineer Intern

POSITION SUMMARY                                                                                   

At Aptar our Mission is to design and manufacture proprietary drug delivery, consumer dispensing and protection technologies to improve everyday life for millions of people around the world.  We have an exciting opportunity in our North American Regional Quality Center.

As a Quality Engineer Intern, you will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and optimize our packaging solutions. You will be a key collaborator with engineers, design teams, and business leaders, providing data-driven solutions to complex challenges across the entire packaging lifecycle.

Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and innovative Summer Engineering Intern to join our Quality Production Team. Working with the Director of Quality, conduct extensive data analytical work.  Develop, prepare and catalog testing procedures, assist with the development of a knowledge repository, and help prepare training materials for new employees and contingent workforce. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to understand current assembly line processes and requirements.
  • Conduct quality testing and validation steps to ensure functionality and efficiency within a high-speed assembly business environment.
  • Draft, prepare and present recommendations for quality employee training and audits.  
  • Research and build a knowledge repository in relation to quality steps and procedures, in a usable format for new and existing employee population.
  • Present findings and progress to the team regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an engineering program (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  
  • Experience with CAD software and prototyping tools a plus.  Past quality study and/or project work relatable to manufacturing a plus. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
