Summer Teacher

In the role of teacher, you will work closely with the teachers and founders of The Open Classroom (www.theopenclassroom.com.hk) to pioneer an innovative educational program for Hong Kong students. We aim to create a fun, inspiring and rich learning experience for students and teachers alike. 

- For the G1-9 program, we are specifically looking for teachers who can teach English writing.  While we already have a tested and developed curriculum, we welcome teachers who can help us design and shape our curriculum with the goal of inspiring students to develop a passion for writing.

- We are also looking for teachers who can ideally help teach (i) public speaking classes in which you will lead fun activities like mock trial, shark tank, ted talk and impromptu speeches for G3-6; and (ii) experiential learning classes including “Meet the Professional” series in which teachers will bring students out on field trips to learn about different professions, gain topical knowledge and develop writing and public speaking skills around those knowledge. 

- It will be a plus if the teacher has experience with mentoring middle and high school students on US boarding school or college admissions, and have experience in teaching test prep like SAT, SAT II, ACT etc. 

- Teacher will get hands-on experience on different aspects of education management, including teaching, marketing, administration, curriculum design, business etc.
